Softail® Motorcycles from the 2018 Harley-Davidson® Lineup
There have been a lot of great Harley-Davidson® motorcycles, but the new Softail® lineup is boasting something unlike we’ve ever seen before a new custom revolution at Harley-Davidson®. We’ve got in-stock and new 2018 Softail® models in our showroom, and when you look for yourself, you’ll see a series of fantastic new motorcycles that borrow from that classic hardtail look. As usual, the suspension is hidden under the fender, meaning you get to enjoy the rugged look, without sacrificing an ounce of comfort. Harley® has also blended a few of the bikes that traditionally belong to the Dyna® lineup in with Softail® motorcycles, and the effectiveness of the transition will surprise you. So after reading a little bit about each one, feel free to come on in and test ride one of these new motorcycles in Rochelle Park, New Jersey, near Clifton, Hackensack, Newark, Ridgewood, Paterson and North Bergen.
Fat Boy® 114
We all know how great a Softail® motorcycle looks, which is why Harley-Davidson® decided to make it even better by stretching out all those attractive features on the Fat Boy® 114. This time around, the Fat Boy® comes with solid-disc wheels, a 240mm rear tire, and a motor with daunting power the Milwaukee-Eight V-Twin 114. But the bigger size won’t slow you down, thanks to a cut in weight of 31 pounds, so you’ll have no problem getting off the line in a hurry.
Heritage Classic 114
Harley-Davidson® has always designed the Heritage Classic to embody styles from the great bikes of old. This time, they tried something a little different, and everybody’s glad they did. Sure, these new Heritage Classic 114 motorcycles still have a foot in tradition, but now they’ve been revitalized with dark styling, a lightweight design, and of course, the unbeatable Milwaukee-Eight® V-Twin engine.
A motorcycle is built to be rugged, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be refined, too. With the new Harley-Davidson® Softail® Deluxe, you’ll find a motorcycle that brings a whole new level of sophistication to the industry. It’s still got plenty of power, the engine still roars with clarity like you expect, but thanks to wrapped fenders, white wall tires, and wire spoke wheels, its commitment to high-taste will turn heads no matter where you ride.
The point of a bobber has always been to maximize power while keeping the frame as lightweight as possible. Now, the Harley-Davidson® Softail Slim® is showing up to the ring, easily making weight thanks to a cut in 35 pounds. But the dieting hasn’t cut off any of its power. In fact, that Milwaukee-Eight® 107 V-Twin engine makes this motorcycle stronger than ever before. And no no-nonsense features like the hacked fenders, stripped-down styling, and simplified trim show other riders that you mean business on this H.O.G.®.
The Breakout model from Harley-Davidson® takes classic taste for power and develops it into a modern edge. Its smaller tank leaves room for the Milwaukee-Eighth® engine to stand out, while a 240mm rear tire looks ready to crumble the pavement underneath its path. A new suspension also promises you’ll get better power and control, while still enjoying the comfort you expect from a Softail® motorcycle.
Fat Bob® 114
A Fat Bob® 114 is a motorcycle built for the history books. Harley-Davidson® went all out on this bike, designing it with a massive Milwaukee-Eight® engine, a 2-1-2 upswept exhaust, inverted front forks, and broader tires that generate even more power and control. It’s dominant at the race track, a beast on the street, and sure to be the prettiest bike on the road at all times.
Another adaptation from the old Dyna® lineup, the Harley-Davidson® Street Bob® motorcycle looks better on a Softail® chassis that you would’ve thought possible. Its design seems perfectly suited for the classic “hardtail” look, and the hidden suspension of course keeps it cozy no matter where you ride. It’s also been trimmed down a few pounds, so that upgraded Milwaukee-Eight® engine has even more room for raw power and speed.
A custom revolution demands a unique take on the chopper style, which is where the new Harley-Davidson® Low Rider comes in. It has graphics based on original ‘70s styling, keeping it true to its Dyna® roots, but modern touches like the unique wheel design and dual-tank-mounted gauges keep it fresh. It’s also lighter than any Low Rider to ever glide over the road, which means more power and easier riding for both beginners and seasoned veteran riders.
The custom revolution is apparent from the Harley-Davidson® Softail® lineup, but you need to ride one to truly understand the greatness of these new bikes. Come on in for a test ride, and see what all the hype is about in Rochelle Park, New Jersey, near Clifton, Hackensack, Newark, Ridgewood, Paterson and North Bergen.
